Tilghman Island, only three square miles, is easily accessible yet remote enough to properly stem the tide of everyday cares. When you cross over the drawbridge you'll be greeted by the nineteenth century charm of a true waterman's village. You can stroll to several shops and restaurants on the Island.
Tilghman Island's quiet demeanor not withstanding, activities abound. Sailing at sunset or cruising through pristine waterscapes aboard an historic skipjack is a singular Chesapeake Bay experience. Kayaking, fishing and bird watching are enjoyable alone or in small groups. Safe roads throughout the area's flat terrain makes for effortless running or cycling. Golf courses & tennis courts are readily available for Wood Duck guests. Nearby historic St. Michaels offers a variety of boutiques, restaurants and is home to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Visit historic Oxford and take a ride on the Oxford Bellevue Ferry. In nearby Dorchester County visit the Blackwater National Wildlife refuge. Visit the Tour Talbot website for additonal visitor information. The Wood Duck Inn are proud members of SMBA Calendar of Events
